Why product design?

Ever since I can remember, I've always had a love for design and craft. However, I never really considered pursuing design as a career because I was unsure of its potential to make a tangible difference in the lives of people around me.

But when I started tutoring children in Myanmar through Zoom, amidst the military coup taking place there, I realized the power of technology in creating immediate and lasting social impact.

So I explored technology classes at my college. For the first time, I found myself joyfully immersed in work for hours and came to realization that my passion for design opens up boundless opportunities for me to create meaningful impacts within my community and across the globe.

I find that because I genuinely enjoy what I do, I am happy to pour my heart into my work. I can spend hours perfecting my designs and seeking constant feedback and still be excited to continue the same thing the next day. Time really files when you do what you love!

I believe that nobody knows your dreams, abilities, and aspirations better than yourself. By realizing I am my best advocate, I actively seek out opportunities, reach out to people who can support me, and pursue my goals with unwavering determination.

When things don’t go as planned and my heart is filled with chaos, I find solace in reflecting on how far I've come despite the countless moments of self-doubt and uncertainties. Taking a moment to count my blessings and acknowledge my progress helps me find peace and maintain faith that everything will eventually fall into place.
